I was at the beginning of taking my business full-time, trying to build a brand that I truly believed in while being new to motherhood. I was often tired, and anxiety filled, just trying to keep my head above water in my day to day business responsibilities.

I was MAMA first, CREATIVE womanpreneur second, and Jessica didn't even make it on the list. The overwhelm began to affect my business, and my self-care took a back seat. I wasn't happy with the progress of my business, wasn't fulfilled in it, and wasn't showing up for myself FIRST!

How could I though if my business was a one woman show? I wasn't letting my business brand strategy and all of the batched content/templates I created work for me. I was working harder, not smarter. That's when I decided to do something different!

If you're anything like me, you're able to juggle a million things at once, but just because you can doesn't mean you should! You aren't meant to carry the weight of your business on your own. There are resources, people, and spaces for you to still bring your vision to life without sacrificing yourself or your time in the process!

When was the last time you did something that gave you a moment to BREATHE, that provided an opportunity for you to receive assistance with tedious, timely, yet important aspects of your business?

Let's talk about my journey so you can get to know me a little bit! Branding + self-care is something I LIVE to SHARE about. It is a calling that GOD put on my HEART. And so many experiences led me to this very moment with you. There are resources for business owners and wellness enthusiasts but none that focus on the care of the business owner and business simultaneously. 

I have a Bachelor's in Radio, Television, and Film (with an Audio Production concentration) from the one and only Howard University. I also have a Master's in Radio, Television, and Film (with a Media Industry Studies concentration) from The University of North Texas. It was in media work and academia that I found my love for creatively communicating through words, visuals, branding, and voice. I've worked with universities and small businesses to put their brand into focus and visually put their best, most authentic foot FORWARD.

My strongest superpower is making people believe in themselves. That's where the self-care piece comes in. I'm a firm believer in care of the whole person. Maybe it's the dance teacher, Pure Barre fitness instructor, and certified health coach in me. MIND, BODY, and HEART are equally as important as your PURPOSE in life. I make it my mission to help creative women biz owners organically tap into all three while doing what they love for a living.

What's your favorite way to practice self-care?

Moving my body is something I always do (dance, barre, yoga). And I'm trying to get better at going back to the spa, but stillness/rest is essential for me. I'm a person who ALWAYS feels like there's something I can be doing, but I'm listening to my body more.
